Network Marketing

For the newbies out there, here is a down and dirty description of Network Marketing. Basically, Network Marketing is a business model of distribution where a network of like-minded people (think Facebook, Linked-in, Twitter, etc.) share the products and services they love with other like-minded people, and get paid a percentage of the profits for their efforts. It is also known as word of mouth marketing...the best form of advertising in the world. When Network Marketing (NWM) first started it was a way for many people to bring in supplemental income. In the past it was considered as "something I do on the side to make a little pocket change." Today, for some, it's a reliable source of residual income that can, and has created many a millionair. Even for others, is has created a space for more time and money to spend with their family and love ones without having to commit to another, most likely low paying job (if you can find one), which would also require structured work hours and another boss. Unlike a job, you are your own boss and a business owner. Therefore, there are start up cost and ongoing cost like any other business. Although they are much lower than a traditional business. This is were some people get confused. Some think because it cost money to get started that it may not be legitimate. In truth, you are a business owner, not a job holder, and legitimate businesses do have start-up and ongoing cost. The beauty of it is that you are not limited in income like a job. You get tax right-offs for legitimate expenses, you make your own hours, you can't get fired and much more. On the other hand, if you don't put any effort into your endevour, you will get nothing in return. And like any other business you have to watch out for scams. If you do your due dillengence you can help reduce your risk of getting taken advantage of. Some sources are, the Better Business Bureau, the Direct Selling Association and others. Seek professional advice if necessary. All in all though, a good network marketing company can really help you achieve your goals, but there are no guarantees in life. You have to plan your work and work your plan. Anything worthwhile in life takes effort...how bad do you want your freedom.
